In celebration of Lewis Carroll's enduring and fantastical tale we offer our visually delightful Mad Hatters Tea Party cruises.
This two hour cruise follows the same route up the river as that taken by Lewis Carroll and Alice Liddell on the famous ‘Golden Afternoon’ in 1862 when he created the story of Alice in Wonderland to entertain Alice and her sisters. Take a bite out of ‘eat me’ treats or gulp down ‘drink me’ tea whilst gliding down the river on one of our comfortable and stylish river launches. This cruise manages to be both silly and charming, with dress up encouraged!
The sumptuous tea party we lay out typically consists of tea, freshly made sandwiches, petit fours and indulgent scones with lashings of clotted cream and jam.
The cruise costs £45 per person, a surcharge will apply to bookings for less than 8 people.
The cruise departs from our moorings at The Folly, Folly Bridge, Oxford, OX1 4JU. Departure are usually at 12.30pm and 6pm. The cruise lasts approximately 2 hours. Advance booking is essential.
